Congrats to kellie and matt who married the past weekend.
Catered-events provided the catering for their big day. We started off the wedding reception with a selection of hot and cold canapés followed by a choice bowl food menu.
The menu consisted of swedish meat balls with vine tomato sauce, swiftly followed by beer battered cod with hand cut chunky chips, cumberland sausage n mash drizzled with a rich onion gravy finished off with teriyaki salmon served on a bed of udon noodles with toasted sesame seed & spring onion.
The bowl food concept provides a unique way to serve a series of dishes allowing each guest at the function to try a little of each. Individual dishes scaled and served in rice bowls, pretty much the size of a sugar bowl.
Ideal for functions with limited seating or when guests may require something a little more substantial as opposed to canapés.
Venue for a birthday party
Another venue required near Luton, suitable for 50 guests at a birthday party with an
outdoor area for a Barbecue and canapés.

Wedding venue
We
received a further three enquiries over the weekend, all three clients are
looking for a suitable wedding venue for later this year. Two in oxford and one
in London, any suggestions……………….?
The
key will be the date, the location plus the venue allowing external caterers to
come in. Any wedding planners, event companies or even the venues itself, if
you have or know of a venue suitable for staging a wedding then please get in

Busy start to 2012 events and catering
It’s been a busy start to 2012 with a series of weddings and corporate events and what great weather for the weddings in particular. We’ve seen many bookings confirmed for events later this year, and as I always say book your suppliers ASAP. There are only so many dates available and we’ve already turned bookings away for certain dates. As we sit here mid-March, we only now have selected dates available and already have 4 bookings for 2013.
Congratulations to Siri & Manuel who married at the end of January with the reception held at Finsbury town hall, best wishes to you both, further Congratulations to Rosemary & Chris and  Ben & Mandy, both couples married in February and what a day with the sun out in Bourneville on the 25th February.
We are still on the lookout for possible venues, we are still asked many times if we know of suitable venues for marquees or facilities for smaller gatherings, if you know of a venue then let us know.
We’ll try and update the blog on a regular basis as we know we have a few followers, the events and catering industry gets a little hectic from time to time.

New Wedding and catering Menus for 2012
We’ve finished putting together some new menus for the coming year, 2012. The Wedding menus are presented as two options along with a fine dining/Dinner party menu for smaller numbers giving three overall options for Wedding catering.
Our Canapé menu has been condensed, whilst still offering some of the more popular canapés from 2011 along with a few new ideas prepared in house.  The bowlfood menus which proved ever popular have been revamped to offer some interesting dishes for the New Year.
We’re still finalising our Barbecue menus for both Corporate and Private parties, as soon as they are ready we’ll have them available.

Hi Dave, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I haven’t been back to my desk for long since Thursday!
Thanks for providing the catering for our party last week. Despite the limited facilities at the venue the food was great and we’ve had great feedback from our guests. The service was very efficient with what seemed to be an endless supply of food!
 Thanks for helping to make it a really good event. I will definitely call you next time we need any sort of catering.
 I’m so sorry that we imprisoned your waiting staff in a lift… please don’t include that in the testimonial!

Vegan Dinner party- Testimonial

Hi Dave,
 Thanks for everything last Friday, and making the whole evening stress-free and memorable.
 Everybody was very impressed with the “vegan” meal which Tim had prepared. We found the whole meal tasty and interesting, and I was delighted that “vegan” food had been accepted by everyone and that they had enjoyed all of it.
 I loved the way that you, Dave, just got on with anything which required doing, without being asked and in a friendly, charming manner, even serving everyone hot drinks after the meal.
 I would recommend “Catered-Events” to anyone for a delicious meal, stress-free evening, cooked and served by two very nice people.
